The Pantone Color Institute is a consultative organization that helps predict global trends regarding color and advises companies which colors to utilize with their brand. Recognized as the global authority on color-every year the Pantone Color Institute releases what it considers to be the “Color of the Year” for the following year. Since 2000 the color of the year has been selected by a group of Pantone’s color experts who go out in the world looking for the color influences that best describe the spirit of that time.
