Winter Storm Grayson brings ice, snow and frigid cold across the Eastern part of the Country – creating delays and truck shortages.

Winter weather will impact the entire East Coast and New England States for today through Friday. The weather service has blizzard warnings in effect from Virginia to Maine, with areas around Boston expected to see about a foot of snow

Winter Storm Grayson may be a damaging ice storm in parts of north Florida and southeast Georgia, and the Low country of South Carolina. Some coastal areas of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia could ultimately receive up to 6 inches of snow and ice, while parts of New England could see 12 to 15 inches of snow and wind gusts of 35 miles per hour by the end of week, according to the weather service.

Tremendous blowing and drifting snow is likely, and some communities may be isolated for several days in the wake of the storm in the bitter cold. Blizzard conditions are likely from portions of Long Island, New York, through eastern Connecticut and Massachusetts to northeastern Maine. Blizzard storms conditions with heavy snow, blowing and drifting in store for mid-Atlantic coast regions. Ripple-effect delays may occur across the nation.
